Durarara!! x Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Chapter 7

Chapter 7: WANTED – The Wild Bunch Group As soon as Enokida started researching the group up he confirmed the access point of the post was from within Ikebukuro. The address was Ikebukuro 2 Chome 60 Banchi, the first floor of a three story building. The computer terminal set up in there was where the post pretending to be the NPB was. He attached the address and a map in an e-mail and sent it to Lin. Soon after he received a reply from him. 'Do you know a place that lends weapons around this area?' It said. Banba was probably unarmed, so they thought he would need a weapon when they infiltrate the enemy’s hideout.

Durarara!! x Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Chapter 6

Chapter 6: The Man Who Killed the Executive Candidate? After the two bounty hunters handed over Shinta Kasaoka, Wilson then gave them the bag with fake bills in it. All of it was in according to his superior, John Wayne’s orders. He put Kasaoka into the trunk of the vehicle and headed back to the company right away before the two noticed the money was fake. Kasaoka seemed to be completely emaciated. It could not be helped. In these past few days he had been cashed down by complete strangers relentlessly. Without any time to relax he could not take a rest. He certainly seemed John Wayne’s plan to torment the traitor psychologically had succeeded. Once he arrived at the Wild Bunch company Wilson and his subordinates carried Kasaoka to the multipurpose room.

Durarara!! x Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Batting Lin and Banba had decided to do some bounty hunting since their luggage had been stolen at the batting center, but they never expected to actually end up butting heads with a real bounty hunter. They came to an abandoned warehouse to seize a man with a 300,000 yen bounty named Kasaoka, but a man calling himself a bounty hunter had appeared. It was a young man in a cowboy getup.  When Lin had cornered the man and tried to add the finishing blow, another man made a sudden appearance. He was a large-built man wearing priest clothes, and his target also seemed to be Kasaoka’s bounty. The minister guy had addressed the cowboy one with a mimicry of carelessness, completely not reading the situation. It seemed they were acquaintances. So did he come to save his friend? Lin wondered.

Durarara!! SHx4: Intermission 2

Intermission: A Black Business ② Night, somewhere in Saitama prefecture Gosh, a lot happened today, but I have to get to work. In the end, Celty was unable to meet with Anri in person. She heard Akabayashi went over after the high schoolers had left, and she decided to try visiting another day, believing it would be bad to run into him there. For now she had sent her a message: 'I heard about what happened. If there is anything I can do to help, I want you to tell me.' She also added to probe her about the cursed mallet Kujiragi had mentioned. 'By the way, I heard from Shinra's father that there was a strange hammer in the shop long ago. Does that ring a bell at all?' She decided to use Shingen's name, believing mentioning that Kujiragi left it in the warehouse secretly would cause unnecessary trouble.

Durarara!! SHx4: Chapter 2

Chapter 2: What are You Looking for Today? There was a legend of a demon sword known as Saika that existed in Shinjuku long ago. The demon blade’s nature was to love humans, and it was said it had appeared in modern time when it was discovered by American military forces on the black market some time after World War II took place. A strange legend left behind depicted the sword was sealed by a sentient bamboo spear after they had a deathmatch, and it had vanished into the void once more. However, there were people knowledgeable of ‘situations beyond the norm,’ starting with the Headless Rider, and viewed its existence as common knowledge.

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Obscure Story

Obscure Story: Japanese Series The next day in a certain place in Hakata The day following the events of the electromagnetic hijack on Honshu, there were people playing grass-lot baseball peacefully on a sports ground somewhere in Hakata, not discussing of others’ affairs relating to that case. They appeared to have finished their game for the day and were managing the field. A man with long limbs and ruffled hair had a rake in hand and started conversing to the blond haired man wearing the same uniform as him.

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Epilogue

Epilogue: Championship Sale The broadcast hijack incident that shook Japan was left unsolved in the end. However, everything within the Natsugawara Group had been settled, and a few weeks later the company underwent an overnight shakeout. And as all the board members were also let go, gossip magazines starting with a faction of dilettantes and Last Week Weekly speculated of a connection between the ‘extras’ and ‘lighting’ that was mentioned during the broadcast for a time, but the truth was never brought to light. Tamae Takioka went abroad and shortly thereafter went missing. There were rumors even within the Natsugawara Group that suggested she had been silenced. However, there were eye witness reports that came in from another country, leaving it unknown whether she was alive or dead. Fudou was currently hospitalized, supposedly from falling down the stairs during the blackout. In short, the two casualties that came out of this case had been completely covered up - not by the bas...

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Game Abandonment The standing ovation given by the spectators was shaking the whole stadium. The reason for the acclamation was probably because Kanshirou Munakata had hit a third consecutive home run for the second time today. However the result itself meant nothing to Izaya Orihara. The target of his interests was the shift of the human heart derived from that result. In other words kandou, which controlled the body. Consequently, Izaya decided to reflect upon the happiness thoroughly, imagining the emotions of each person echoing in the stadium from the immense standing ovation. Just like the loneliness of smelling nothing but the splendorous meal placed in front of someone, presently just by thinking of the people’s joy or the lament of the pitcher Izaya could truly feel alive.

Durarara!! Epitome of Eighteen Histories 16: Kasane Kujiragi

This is a story of love. A story of twisted love. ♂♀ In a private karaoke room somewhere in Ikebukuro. “Um...It was Kujiragi-san, correct? I would like to ask again...how do you know my name? You seem to know my brother from the sound of it...” They were in a private room of a karaoke box. Kazane Kinomiya posed this question, to which the woman sitting across from her - Kasane Kujiragi - answered expressionlessly,  “I am familiar with him. Initially I looked into your brother, Shinra Kishitani, for a work-related matter. Though at present, it is due to personal interest.” “Work-related...?” “Please consider me someone akin to an investigator for an insurance company.” “...”

Durarara!! X Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Chapter 4

Chapter 4: UNINVITED The wedding ceremony and reception had finished, and as the place of the event was going to change and the garden party where the celebs would gather, Enokida exited the internet cafe he concealed himself in. The time was already past the evening, and the city of Ikebukuro wss dyed in an orange color. “ – So you really were here.” Suddenly being called out in front of the building, Enokida came to a halt. When he turned around, a slim, elderly gentleman stood there. “Geh” Enokida winced. He terribly recalled who the man dressed up nice the same as him was. “Yagi!”

Durarara!! Epitome of Eighteen Histories 15: Izaya Orihara

Ikebukuro, in front of the Raira General Hospital “Izaya…Orihara-san.” Kazane had gone to visit Kadota after he had got into a car accident, but she happened to run into a man, whom had left a strong impact on her out of anyone she had met in the past, on the street in front of the hospital. He was Izaya Orihara. He was one of her brother’s few friends, and a close friend for a long time where they could be called inseparable, unlike the occasional moments he would talk with Kadota and his group. What arose to Kazane’s mind were the memories of when she was still a middle schooler a few years ago.

Durarara!! Epitome of Eighteen Histories 14: Chikage Rokujou

This is an interval story. An interval story in time. ♂♀ “I’m Chikage. …Chikage Rokujo. Nice to meet you.” A few minutes after meeting with the young boy Mikado Ryuugamine, the one who appeared in front of Kazane Kinomiya was a young man named Chikage Rokujo. “Ah…Hello, I’m Kazane Kinomiya.” “Kazane-chan? Is it Kazane written as sound of the wind?” “Yes, though the characters for Kinomiya is a bit complicated though…” “Then I’ll just call you Kazane-chan. Really, it’s such a nice name.” Chikage talked in a light manner, but just previously he had knocked several men off their feet. Although Kazane was surprised to witness the young man face off several ruffians and remain almost unscathed, no curiosity or weariness arose in her.

Durarara!! Epitome of Eighteen Histories 13: Mikado Ryuugamine

This is an interval story. An interval story in time. ♂♀ I have to move forward already. Kazane smacked her cheeks in front of the bathroom mirror to motivate herself in the lavatory of a certain small publishing company. She had helped write magazines as a freelance writer while also going through with university life, but recently she had improved at work enough to where even her articles she wrote on the interviews she made were used in magazines. Her livelihood had become stable, and she made a crucial decision when she settled into her career after graduation. “I have to meet my brother (step-brother).”

Durarara!! x Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Outlaws Everywhere John Wayne had worked in the main office of Murder Inc. in Shinjuku until half a year ago. He would get on the crowded trains wearing a suit, follow his superior’s orders as a company employee, and carried out the task of assassination. However, there was no way a man like him who lived as he pleased could spend his time obediently in the company organization. John had the bad tastes in enjoying murder and also despised the people at the top of the company. John being John was just about sick of being in the middle of the troublesome framework that was a company.

Durarara!! Epitome of Eighteen Histories 6: Akane Awakusu

This is a story of the future. A story of a twisted future. ♂♀ Akane Awakusu was a first year student in high school that spring. She just started to believe she was adjusting to her new school after a few days since enrolling into Raira Academy when a girl approached her. A sudden shadow loomed over her as she rested beneath the spring trees during break, causing Akane to make out a girl standing before her. “Your family is the Awakusu Group, right?” The girl asked defiantly, slightly surprising Akane.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens 6: Fourth Inning

Top of the Fourth Inning “Listen up you guys.” Lin questioned the Chinese men to reaffirm once more. “You got the plan memorized?” The four men present nodded simultaneously. Including Lin, all together they were a group of five and wore pitch black leather suits to blend into the darkness. They were going to carry out the kidnapping of Kishihara, the young leader of the Noma Group.

Durarara!! SHx4: Intermission 1

Intermission: A Black Business 1 Celty Sturluson was not human. She was a type of fairy commonly known as a Dullahan that resided from Scotland to Ireland - a being that visited the homes of those nearing the end of their life to inform them of their time of death. Dullahans carried their severed head beside their waist and rode a two-wheeled carriage pulled by a headless horse called a Cóiste Bodhar to visit the homes of those close to death. If anyone was foolish enough to open the door, they would be dowsed with a bucket full of blood. Thus the Dullahan was depicted as a messenger of bad luck within European folklore along with banshees. And presently, a Dullahan like her worked in a far-off, foreign country known as Ikebukuro Japan. But for work she did not have a steady job where she was guaranteed a minimum salary. She was self-employed with sporadic income by the day, let alone as a courier doing illegal activities.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens 6: Third Inning

Top of the Third Inning “...Ahh, my head.” No matter how much of a hangover he suffered from, he had to work. After all, he was a professional. Lin headed to Nakasu on foot while bracing his throbbing head. He had demanded Genzo to give him work. His client was a Chinese criminal group. The members consisted of Chinese and second and third generation men. They were gaining profits by smuggling drugs from traditional opium drugs to new kinds of drugs developed by underground organizations. Lin was not looking forward to this job, but he preferred doing it instead of having nothing to do at the office.

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Interlude 4

What Type of Person Is Izaya Orihara? (Nec’s Case) Huh? What do I think of Izaya? He’s the president? An unsettling guy? What else could he be? Have I ever seen him as someone of the opposite sex? Hee hee. You sure ask ridiculous questions. If there was a woman who’d fall for him, she’d be quite the annilationsist. I hear the president confided in some pharmacist lady who worked as his secretary the most...But apparently she’s in America now. And above all, I hear she has a major brother complex, so she doesn’t even have a single millimeter of interest in him. Anyway, he and I are not like that. We have overlapping interests…or rather, I should say we are business partners. If we weren’t, who knows who many times I would’ve killed him. Hee hee.

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Two Outs, Bases Loaded Ryuusei’s office “He did it, huh.” Ryuusei’s voice was rather calm when he heard the report. However, a flame of deep hatred was lit in his eyes. “But, how? Does this look like it was according to the report? It should state it happened in the hallway in front of the VIP room, not in the VIP room, correct?” “You did not trust the intention behind that warning in the first place, right?” Ryuusei covered his mouth with his right hand, and after thinking for a bit he let out a large sigh.

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Interlude 3

What Type of Person Is Izaya Orihara? (Densuke Sozoro’s Case) What type of person is Izaya Orihara? That is a troublesome question. Well now, he was a detective. There is someone who wants to know about Izaya-dono, you say? Well, I am not forbidden to speak. Is it suitable if I give my opinion? Or do you need the objective view of how he carries out his role in society? Hmm, my opinion. Then this is easy: he is nothing more than an uncooperative, superficially dignified five-year-old.

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Game Suspension In the a udience “You are Izaya Orihara-san, correct?” The bespectacled woman who was the real embodiment of the secretary image called out to Izaya, who had been talking with Haruto in the wheelchair space. Izaya Orihara had come to this baseball stadium by complete coincidence. Although he received the tickets, they were complimentary tickets for the unreserved seats regardless for the date, so he actually was unsure whether to go to the day game or night game until just previously. Yet the fact that they knew his name meant they knew that information since the beginning of the game by unknown means. If there was any factor Izaya could consider, the natural assumption would be due to Nec hacking into the wireless hidden camera network.

Durarara!! SHx4: Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Welcome A few days ago. The antique store - Sonohara Hall - was located a little ways from the center of Ikebukuro. A section of its first floor was constructed as the shop area with antique-looking products displayed in the show windows facing the street. The store seemed to stock anything most people would classify as ‘antiques’ regardless of what era or genre they were made in from worn out vases and anonymous hanging scrolls to radios which used vacuums tubes.

Durarara!! x Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Chapter 2

Chapter 2: The Two Bounty Hunters The Nippon Professional Bounty hunter Organization – alias NPB – was an organization run by the American bounty hunting administration, Westwood Company. They had offices in twelve places throughout the whole country of Japan, and they offered professional qualifications for their bounty hunters and managed their jobs; being able to capture villains informally was a main job for them. In the case someone wanted to put up a bounty, they could contact the NPB and have them make a wanted poster for them. Once that was complete, the NPB side would set a bounty and offered the job to their bounty hunters. That was their structure. The NPB provided a 10 to 20 percent ratio for commissions of the bounty price. In recent years with there was a surge of proceedings in globalization crime, resulting in many cases out of the police's hands. Being tied up, they inevitably turned to the NPB. The bounty hunters in the NPB were all skilled personn...

A Standing Ovation with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Double Play Fudou was impatient. Currently the Natsugawara Serpent’s game occurring at the stadium was being closely watched by the world. But even if the game did not have many paying close attention to it, if something were to happen in this day and age the news would spread throughout the entire world in short time with the internet. And if that happened and ‘ that’ was discovered, everything would come to an end.

Durarara!! Epitome of Eighteen Histories 5: Kyouhei Kadota

This is a story of the past. A story of a twisted past. ♂♀ It was a summer evening which had a seething heat yet to dissipate. Kyouhei Kadota was on his way back from school when he was stopped by a middle school girl. “Um, can I have a moment to talk to you?” The uniform the girl wore was from a middle school a little ways away from where they were at. She still had youthful facial features, giving the impression she was either in first grade or second grade. “Me?” Kadota titled his head, unsure why a girl he did not know had called out to him. Maybe she wants to ask for directions? Just as he considered the possibility, the girl bowed her head with a slightly nervous expression. “I’m Kazane Kinomiya! I, um...I have something I want to ask you about...” “What is it?” “Umm...You know Shinra Kishitani-senpai, right? I’m sorry. I saw you talking with Kishitani-senpai in the city before...” “Kishitani? Yeah, well, we’re in the same school.”

Durarara!! SHx4: Prologue

Warning: NSFW illustration attached. Prologue: Bargain Sale In a certain place in Saitama Prefecture at a construction site for a large shopping mall Flying bullets. Billowing explosions. Sounds of destruction and conflict rang through the sky of Saitama. The shopping mall was near completion; it was just awaiting tenants to fill in the spaces. The construction itself was almost finished, and within this oblong building - its three cleared out floors the size of a few baseball stadiums - a few stores could be seen undergoing the furnishing process. Presently, a bargain sale consisted of killing intent and madness was taking place in this uncompleted mall.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens 6: Second Inning

Top of the Second Inning The young leader of the Noma Group, Kishihara, ran the drug smuggling business that was their main source of income. And as of late, he has had his hands tied dealing with problems. The other day a freelance courier of his had been arrested by the narcotics control department. The five kilograms of stimulants that was meant to be transported to Kitakyushu through the usual route had been confiscated, so the Noma Group had lost important product and their courier at the same time. They had lost roughly 300,000,000 yen at minimum. But there was a problem that remained: how did the police find out the Noma Group’s smuggling route?
