Epilogue: A Sunset with Izaya Orihara

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Interlude 5

Interlude: The Man Called Izaya Orihara ⑤ ‘the hell, you came back again? I said I don’t have anything to say about that flea! ...I have no choice, huh. It’d be unreasonable to refuse after going so far to ask me. However, I don’t have much to say about him.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Eliminate Izaya Orihara A few days later in the entertainment district of Bunokura City. I feel like the city is quite restless somehow. Koshino of the Futsuku Group was walking around town by himself when he felt something was off. Somehow, he felt an usual, harsh air drifting through the city. However, Koshino had an idea of which individuals caused it; Kazuhisa Adamura and Nana Kiyojima had disappeared. That impactful truth was being spread around. Yet it was difficult to say if they had left the city.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 3 Side B & Interlude 4

Chapter 3: Use Izaya Orihara – Side B (Adamura Side) “Izaya Orihara again, huh.” Ryuuji gulped down his sake in a seat at one of his favorite high quality clubs while surrounded by the club’s girls. The person in front of him was a young, hoodlum-like man. Ryuuji, having heard the man’s old friends belonged to the Oukarengou, had him habitually provide him information on the group, but what the man brought him today caused a multitude of waves in Ryuuji’s emotions: a nightclub that was one of the Oukarengou’s meeting spots was attacked. At first, Ryuuji thought it was one of the common disputes, but after listening in full what he got was an old man appeared at their hideout and had beaten the group. He initially questioned the story, believing it was some sort of joke, but then the name ‘Izaya Orihara’ came up in the midst of the information, and squinting he ordered, “tell me from the beginning again.”

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Interlude 1

Interlude: The Man Called Izaya Orihara ① Izaya Orihara? This is quite a nostalgic name to ask about. Well, I guess it’s not that nostalgic. His name is sometimes brought up in conversations with my friends and family. Each time a dangerous or odd event occurs it’s, ‘what did Orihara-kun do?’ Or, ‘was Orihara-kun behind it?’ You know, those sort of discussions. You see, just from that you can tell he is a good-for-nothing, right? Who exactly is Izaya Orihara? I can't quite say. If you're asking about his occupation, he is an informant. Outwardly, he calls himself a financial planner though.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Interlude 2

Interlude: The Man Izaya Orihara ② Izaya Orihara you say? That is quite the nostalgic name. An informant...huh. Well, you’re not wrong. Indeed, he was famous in Tokyo as an informant. To the end, he partially was anyway. I also came to not be able to face the world, but he was quite an interesting existence for a human being. At the same time, he was also unpleasant.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Interlude 3

Interlude: The Man Called Izaya Orihara ③ Izaya Orihara? Who are you? An acquaintance of Izaya’s? If that’s the case I won’t say anything bad. Keep a fixed distance from him. No? I don’t plan on telling you to not approach him. That is up to each person. There are some people who like him, and there are some who find faults in his liking of other people. Well, he is good looking. That in itself made him a popular guy.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 3 Side A

Chapter 3: Use Izaya Orihara – Side A (Kiyojima Side) Bunokura Police Station, the Chief’s Office There was a fight and a small fire at the Oukarengou hideout. Despite the report rushing in, no one spoke about the situation in detail. One of the veteran detectives was suspicious, and when he called for the bar owner on the stairs he discovered a dangerous incident had occurred there.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Who is That Man? There were presently two forces having their way in Bunokura. One was the Adamura Group, who owned the rights to the mine and formed extensive connections in the town, overturning the general labor workers and even the local gangs. The people feared them, bestowing them the title 'feudal lord,' as they substantially reigned supreme over the town and could bend national law to their benefit from behind closed doors. The other force was the politician, Munenori Kiyojima. Unlike the Adamuras, he had pre-established, vast connections, ranging from the neighboring cities and congress to every type of bureaucracy. Kiyojima's power may have initially been considered small compared to the large corporation, however, he had also managed to collaborate with gangs outside the city, allowing him as an authority figure to utilize his power and influence both publicly and illicitly.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The Man Who Came One day on a certain month, extracted from a portion of a region newspaper article. 'A body in Bunokura – identified as the missing eldest son of a wealthy family -' 'Last night the body found in Bunokura was identified to be Ryuuichi Adamura (age 28) who had disappeared three days prior. The police are investigating the case and accident -' A man gazed at the article alone in a small mountain hut in a land far away from the city mentioned in the newspaper. It was unclear how he obtained a regional newspaper from another prefecture, but the date on it was definitely today. The man grinned and tossed the newspaper into the fireplace. He then threw in various pieces for games one would amuse themselves with on a table: chess pieces, Shogi pieces, Mahjong tiles, and playing cards.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Prologue B

Prologue B: Welcome to Bunokura On a three-lane prefectural road down-pouring with rain, a banner reading ‘ahead is the mining town’ was hung on the pedestrian bridge crossing over that street. Countless cars passed under the banner that was getting soaked by the onslaught of rain. There was a certain multi-tenant building downtown beside the road where there was not much traffic spanning across its width. And on the roof top, there was one man who symbolized the town getting pelted by the rain.

A Sunset with Izaya Orihara: Prologue A

Prologue A: Your Neighborhood Informant “So I seriously have the chance to kill him, right?” A salary-like man wearing a worn out business shirt spouted these absurd words over the phone. ‘Yes, he will remain in the company’s office alone for certain today. The password code for the safe is correct; I guarantee it.’ “Alright...I don’t get it why he would be at the company when everyone, even security, is off the clock, but that’s fine with me.” ‘I want to ask just to make sure, but will you really do it? Murder.’
